These days are extremely rare, but so incredibly wonderful. A entire day with no pain, no illness…..it’s like magic.
Velcro Remote Controls to a Coffee Table for Easy, Uncluttered Access [Organization], from Lifehacker http://lifehacker.com/5913888/velcro-remote-controls-to-a-coffee-table-for-easy-uncluttered-access
The problem in our house would be that Kahn (the boxer) has a skill for turning on the PS3 by sitting on/nosing/bumping/resting his head on the remote. Put on the side of a coffee table would make that even easier.
I like to think he’s encouraging me to play Skyrim though. He’s good like that.
I would be a terrible North American. I think Raccoons look awesome, I love squirrels, and there are so many adorable critters in pet stores over there (robo hamster!! chinchilla!!!!!).
I guess it’s sort of like how I think koalas are pretty damn boring and don’t even stop to look at them, whereas tourists always lose their collective shit when they see a koala.
When my friend took me to the beautiful gardens in Pasadena I was so excited by the squirrels and she basically told me that they’re like rats over there.
I’m a dork. And I’ve also turned a picture of a raccoon and a cat into a story about squirrels and koalas.

I need to learn how to quilt. Because once all my sashiko squares are done I’d love to turn them into a quilt. The problems being;
1) I have too many craft things that I like and suck at, so getting more seems expensive
2) Whilst I have a sewing machine, I always fight with the bobbin so I’m not that great at it
3) Where in the hell do I start? Quilting seems like it would have billions of How To sites
It’s true. Today, googling quilting is just too scary. I wish there was a person who could just sit down and show me, in person! (And also for knitting and crochet and kumihimo)
I am sick with a cold and I feel soooooo blech and maybe I should just xstitch my woes away (probably end up with multiple needle sticks)
The Armadillo Lizard (Cordylus cataphractus) is a lizard endemic to desert areas of southern Africa. It is also known as the Typical Girdled Lizard, Armadillo Girdled Lizard, Golden Armadillo Lizard, and Armadillo Spiny-tailed Lizard.
The Armadillo Lizard possesses an uncommon antipredator adaptation, in which it takes its tail in its mouth and rolls into a ball when frightened. In this shape it is protected from predators by the thick, squarish scales along its back and the spines on its tail. This behavior, which resembles that of the mammalian armadillo, gives it its English common name. This behavior may have inspired tales of the mythical creature Ouroboros.
Holy shit!
